Trò chơi bài pokerA range of local businesses operate within a few minutes walk or drive from the main hospital. Alder Hey is built in a park, which provides a calming environment if you need to take a break from the hospital building.

Eaton Road

Some great choices for cheap, easy meals. Eaton Road has a selection of cafes and sandwich shops, as well as a Chinese takeaway and restaurant.

Trò chơi bài pokerThere’s also a pharmacy, a newsagent with a cash machine (although it will charge you and there’s a free machine on the ground floor of the hospital) and a florist.

Supermarkets and petrol

Sainsbury’s (L14 5PT) is across the road from the East Prescot Road entrance and has an in-store cafe, pharmacy, petrol station and a range of clothing.

Aldi and Tesco are also nearby and the Old Swan area has a number of high street shops and services.

Local parks

Alder Hey is built within Springfield Park, but there is plenty of other green space nearby.  and Court Hey Park are both a short drive away.

City centre

We’re about five miles from Liverpool City Centre, easily accessible by car or taxi. There’s a taxi rank close to the East Prescot Road entrance of the hospital. Alternatively there are free phones in the Atrium to call a private hire firm.

Buses run frequently and you can get .

Cycle route

The  from Southport, Merseyside to Hull, Yorkshire passes close by the perimeter of the Trust.

We have cycle parking facilities located outside our Emergency Department.
